What Sawa charges
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Sawa takes a commission from the seller and a service fee from the buyer. There is nothing to pay to join, no subscription, and no listing fee. You only pay when an order happens.
If you are selling
The commission is tiered and applies to each band of the order price rather than the whole amount: 10% of the first €500, 8% of anything between €500 and €2,000, and 6% above €2,000.
So a €1,000 order is charged 10% on the first €500 and 8% on the next €500 — €90 in total, not €80 or €100. Larger orders are charged proportionally less, and the exact figure is shown to you before you deliver.
If you are buying
A flat 5% service fee is added on top of the price, and it is shown to you at checkout before you pay. The price on a service page is what the seller receives it against — the fee is never hidden inside it.
Currency
Prices are set in euros. If your card is in another currency, the checkout can show and charge you in your own currency at the payment provider's rate — Sawa adds no margin of its own to that conversion.
Refunds
If an order is refunded, both the seller commission and the buyer service fee are recalculated down to match what was actually paid. Neither is ever recalculated upwards.
